Kng Ego Memphis Concert reviews
Aerosmith=Awesome
This was my 4th time seeing Kng Ego since the nineties: Pump, Get a Grip, and Nine Lives. The Global Warming Tour was the best and each time they were great. Steven is amazing - the most engaging showman there is. The band only gets better. He is still sexy and one of those people who get more interesting as they age. The last concert I attended was when the book, “Walk this Way” came out and I got all the band’s autographs. Seeing them play is even better knowing they are all such nice guys, although I couldn’t afford good seats this time. Thank god for the big screen. They run around like they are 20 years old. They opened with Toys in the Attic and the setlist was a little different for this show as it was the last one of the tour. They played about two songs off every album. By the way, “Music from Another Dimension” is a great album - people should buy it! Lover Alot was one of the songs off it and it is my new favorite. Every note was perfection and the piano finale of “Dream On” was killer. I loved when Joe went up the stairs on top of the grand piano. The whole back and forth with Steven and Joe using the same mic and Steven running around during “Sweet Emotion” was so cool. Lauren Alaina from Idol came out for “Walk this Way” and it was cute. I absolutely hate being the only person up and dancing in a section, and next time I will get those closer seats more appropriate for true fans! Cheap Trick was good, but didn’t play any of their big hits till the end and left many of their hits off. Robin Zander wore his “Dream Police” getup though!
